Competitor Rules The competitors will be judged in board shorts.  They must be just above the knee in length and can be one inch below the belly button, no spandex. Competitors will enter the stage without a shirt and barefoot. Classes The classes will be split by height.  The cutoff will be based on number of competitors in the Men’s Physique Division. Judging Criteria The Men’s Physique Division will include a round of quarter turns and 15 seconds of individual posing at center stage during the prejudging.   The evening show will consist of an individual triangle stage walk to music of choice that is not to exceed 60 seconds. Judges will be looking for fit contestants who display proper shape and symmetry combined with muscularity and overall condition. This is not a bodybuilding contest so extreme muscularity will be marked down. The following are examples of common terms used in the bodybuilding industry. These words can be helpful to access what should not be descriptive to the physiques being judged in this division: Ripped, shredded, peeled, striated, dry, diced, hard, vascular, grainy, massive, thick, dense, etc. While all types of physiques will be considered when it comes to height, weight, structure, etc. Excessive muscularity should be scored down accordingly. Pre-judging Individual Presentation Each competitor will walk out to house music.  They will proceed to center stage where they will have 15 seconds to display their physique in the stances of their choice. Competitors should choose stances that display their physiques in the most favorable manner. Group Comparisons Each class is brought to the front center state and is guided through quarter turns to display physiques from the front, left, back and right. There will be no twisting while doing the side relaxed poses.  Arms must be at your side with your shoulders squared. Individual Presentation/Night Show The individual presentation during the night show consists of a triangle stage walk beginning at center stage, then onto stage left and then right(the direction depends on what side of stage is used as entrance). The competitor will walk out to music of their choice not too exceed 60 seconds. Individual presentations should be done tastefully and be conducive to a family atmosphere. Scoring Each judge takes all criteria into account and assigns an overall score for each contestant in the form of a rank during the group comparison round. The highest and lowest rank for each competitor is dropped as a safeguard against bias, whether intentional or on a subconscious level. The remaining judges’ placements are summed, and the competitor with the lowest sum receives first place in the class, while the second lowest sum receives second place, etc.
